Minor Flooding Expected Along Shore

High tide tonight is going to be a little higher than normal as a combination of high astronomical tides and tidal departures will result in minor flooding along coastal areas. Westporters can expect tides to rise 1.5 feet higher than normal as high tide peaks at 10:26 p.m.

The National Weather Service’s New York City and Upton station issued a minor flood advisory for  Long Island Sound effective until midnight, April 27. The flooding should peak with high tide. Westport’s high tides can be checked here. Updates from the National Weather Service are available here.
