A tearful TikTok posted by Carly Weinstein, 29, announcing the end of her relationship with Ethan Lewkowicz on Wednesday, July 8, skyrocketed video to more than 2.7 million views.

Weinstein, who grew up in Mendham and founded her lifestyle website Au Courant Life while in college, said she realized something was missing as the couple began talking seriously about marriage.

Weinstein said she had pictured marrying Ethan, whom she met shortly after turning 27, but called ending the relationship the hardest and scariest decision of her life.

Instead of disappearing from social media, Weinstein has invited hundreds of thousands of followers into her healing process.

The day after announcing the breakup, she posted a video titled "morning in my life starting over at 29," kicking off what has become a series documenting life after the split.

In the weeks since, Weinstein has shared the routines helping her cope, including spending nearly all day talking with friends and family on the phone. She has also opened up about the signs that convinced her it was time to leave the relationship and offered advice to viewers who feel trapped in relationships they know aren't right but are afraid to end.

The candid posts have resonated with viewers, helping fuel Weinstein's audience to more than 526,000 TikTok followers, 66.4 million likes, and more than 306,000 Instagram followers.
