The company filed a WARN notice with the New York Department of Labor on Monday citing economic reasons for closing the plant. The company lists 102 employees that will be affected by the closing.
A company employee at the Yonkers headquarters confirmed the closing, but calls to a company spokesman have not yet been returned.
Last month, the Peekskill City School District, which had been using the company for its school buses, entered into a contract with Montauk Transport in a cost-cutting move.
