WESTPORT, Conn. – Staples High School students can get head start with their preparations for midterm exams during a three-hour study skills workshop Saturday organized by S4: Successful Study Skills 4 Students.
“The Test Prep Workshop is designed to increase confidence and reduce stress by providing a clear road map and structured approach in the preparation of tests,” S4 President Michelle Sagalyn said in a statement.
The workshop will focus on the specific and essential skills needed for test taking and provide students with a specific structure for prepping, managing time and studying, Sagalyn said.
Specifically, students will learn what questions they should ask teachers to determine what will be on midterms and how to prepare; how to make study guides; time management; and what to do to eliminate stress and anxiety.
The workshop will be held at Fairfield Library, 1080 Old Post Road, from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. The workshop costs $250, and students can register online. Class size is limited to 15 students.
