Town officials are asking people who use this intersection to reach Godwin and Highland schools to avoid it, plan ahead and use another route for safe crossing.
A suggested alternative is to get to East Center Street from Vreeland Avenue, or use the Highland School crosswalk on Highland Ave.
The temporary inconvenience will expedite curb cut replacements on Prospect Street.
