Middlesex Middle School students got into the spirit of St. Patrick's Day when they were treated to Irish music provided by the Shamrogues during their lunch period Tuesday. Darien High School teacher Bill Devlin is a flute player in the band and Middlesex crossing guard Don Cavett plays the bagpipes and flute. The group performed several songs for the students and shared their knowledge of different types of Irish music. Sixth-grader Samantha Wind enthusiastically demonstrated her Irish step-dancing skills with many of her fellow students joining in.
