NORWALK, Conn. Michael James Dougherty of Norwalk died May 30 of complications arising from a fall. He was 46.
A professional painter by trade, Dougherty loved to draw, especially in pen and ink. He enjoyed working in his vegetable garden and target-shooting and puttering around the house.
Doughterty is survived by his mother, Patty; an aunt and uncle, Peter and Judy Haybeck of Norwalk; and a special friend, Valerie Clementi, of Norwalk. He was predeceased by his father, Terry, in 2011.
A graveside service was held Friday at Willowbrook Cemetery. Harding Funeral Home was in charge of funeral arrangements.
