Jeffery Guadalupe, 29, of 505 Colorado Ave., Bridgeport, got a ride to the Westport Police Department courtesy of bail enforcement agents. According to police, he was charged with larceny for his involvement in a car selling scam in 2008.
According to Westport Police Capt. Sam Arciola, Guadalupe was working as a mechanic and while performing repairs offered to sell two cars at, to play on words, a steal. The victim produced checks for two vehicles. Guadalupe according to the charges, never delivered the cars.
When it came time for court on the larceny charge Guadalupe, much like the wheels, was a no-show. He was arrested on a Paperless Re-Arrest Warrant Network (PRAWN) warrant and charged with first-degree failure to appear. Despite the nature of the new charge, Guadalupe was able to post his $15,000 bond. He is expected to roll into court on Aug. 5.

Car trouble seemed to be at the heart of Madeleine Roche's, 2 West Branch Road, charge of disorderly conduct involving a fight capable of causing minor injury. It seems Roche, 20, and her mother got into a tussle over use of the family car, according to police.
Douglas Tirola, 44, 118 Myrtle Ave., didn't need a ride to the station in order to turn himself over to Westport Police. According to reports, when he learned he had a PRAWN warrant out for his arrest, he came to the station and handled the situation without incident. He was served a $2,500 bond for his second-degree failure to appear charge.
