The Board of Trustees, staff and volunteers of the Meadowlands Museum welcome the public to its Easter egg hunt. In addition to finding eggs, children will discover bits of American history, including George Washington's occupation was before he became our first president and when Washington, D.C., was declared the nation's capitol.
The hunt will be from 1-3 p.m. at the museum, 91 Crane Ave., in Rutherford.
Each year, the museum welcomes hundreds of children and adults, helping to connect to the historical and cultural sense of place that is the Meadowlands region. It was founded in 1961, to connect school children with their community, and continues that work today.
The museum is open Wednesdays and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. For more information about the museum, visit its website.
