The fast-food chain announced Caesar Sauce on the McDonald's USA Menu Spotter on Tuesday, July 14. The sauce will arrive at participating restaurants nationwide on Tuesday, July 21.
The creamy sauce features garlic, parmesan, and hints of lemon.
"Whether you're dipping, wrapping, or sandwiching, Caesar Sauce is here at McDonald's for a limited time to make your favorite chicken order a summer staple," the company said.
Caesar Sauce's launch will also include new limited-time menu options.
McDonald's will begin selling a Caesar Snack Wrap for $2.99. The wrap features a crispy chicken strip, lettuce, shredded cheese, and Caesar Sauce inside a soft tortilla.
The new Bacon Caesar McCrispy Sandwich includes a McCrispy filet topped with Caesar Sauce. The sandwich also features applewood smoked bacon, lettuce, tomatoes, crispy onions, and crinkle-cut pickles on a toasted potato roll.
McDonald's is also updating its McCrispy Strips with a new panko-coated breading that the chain says makes them even crispier. Customers can also order Caesar Sauce dipping cups separately at participating restaurants.
The launch follows several recent menu changes at McDonald's. The chain recently brought back its Fried Apple Pie, introduced new specialty drinks, and expanded its value menu.
McDonald's operates about 13,500 locations across the US.
