ARMONK, N.Y.- North Castle Highway Department completed work on Maple Avenue early Wednesday afternoon.
About half of Maple Avenue was temporarily re-paved, according to a North Castle worker. The new smoother surface ranges from the streets Main Street etntrance to the Wampus Brook Park parking lot that is beside the Hergenhan Recreation Center.
Work began on Maple Avenue Thursday, Aug. 4, and continued Monday.
The road was closed off for much of Wednesday morning as the crew laid down asphalt. During prep work, the Bedford road entrance to Maple Avenue was closed off, forcing drivers to enter the road from its Main Street entrance.
