At 5 p.m., Morris & Essex Line train 6641 struck a man just west of Millburn Station, NJ Transit said. The train had departed New York Penn Station at 4:15 p.m. and was scheduled to arrive in Dover at 5:30 p.m., NJ Transit said.
The man was conscious and taken to a local hospital, NJ Transit said. There were no injuries reported to the approximately 800 customers or crew on board, NJ Transit said.
Morris & Essex Line and Gladstone Branch rail service was subject to up to 60-minute delays in both directions, NJ Transit said. New Jersey Transit Police are leading the investigation.
