STAMFORD, Conn. A 21-year-old Stamford man was shot in the arm on Aberdeen Street at about 7 p.m. Thursday, Sgt. Paul Guzda said.
Guzda gave the following account: The victim had just come home and was still in his car when he saw three guys he knew. Suspicious of the way they were moving toward him, the victim ran to a neighbors house and was shot through the arm. He was taken to Stamford Hospital for surgery.
Police were still looking for the suspected shooters and were canvassing the street late Thursday, speaking with neighbors and collecting physical evidence. Police found a round of bullets in the door jamb where the shooting occurred.
A person was taken to police headquarters for questioning in the incident but was released. Police received conflicting reports about the identity of the shooters and want to speak with the victim again once he is in stable condition.
