The adult man, whose name was not provided, was taken to University Hospital, following the blaze on the 200 block of South 11th Street, the Essex County Prosecutor's Office said. He was pronounced dead at 11:30 a.m., authorities said.
The cause of the fire is under investigation, authorities said.
