Man Fights Aunt's Request to Leave House

A Stamford woman who agreed to allow her nephew to stay in her home overnight had a change of heart when she returned from work and found her home was trashed. She decided the nephew had to go — but he refused to leave. They argued verbally, and then the nephew pushed and threw items at his aunt. One of those items was a water pitcher, which struck the aunt, injuring her above the right eye, according to police. Her boyfriend, who had been in another room, saw the altercation and called police.

The nephew, David Davis, 20, of Cedar Hill Avenue, New Haven, was arrested and charged Monday with disorderly conduct and third-degree assault. Bond was set at $1,000, and he was scheduled to appear in court Tuesday.
