At 12:39 a.m. on Monday, May 27, officers responded to a residence in Budd Lake for a medical call, Mount Olive police said. Dylan Blackwell began acting belligerent toward officers, police said.

After officers left, Blackwell began calling 911 for no legitimate purpose or emergency, in an attempt to illicit a police response to the same residence, police said.

At 2:31 a.m. officers responded back to the residence and placed Blackwell under arrest, police said. While being processed, Blackwell forcefully kicked a hole in the wall in the police arrest processing room and refused to comply with fingerprinting procedures, police said.

He was charged with causing false public alarm by calling 911 without an emergency, criminal mischief, obstruction, and failure to submit to identification procedures, police said.
