MAMARONECK, N.Y. - Former Mamaroneck resident, Eileen P. Smyth died Nov. 13 at her home in Brewster, N.Y. She was 82.
Smyth was born on Jan. 24, 1929 in Mamaroneck to John P. and Margaret Smyth. She graduated from St. Gabriel's School in New Rochelle and held a data entry position with Guideposts in Carmel, N.Y. before retiring in the mid 1980's.
An avid reader and artist, Smyth enjoyed traveling and attending bible study. She is survived by her nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at Beecher Funeral Home in Brewster on Wednesday, from 4 to 8 p.m. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Thurday at St. Lawrence O'Tool Church in Bewster. Interment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in New Rochelle.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
