On Saturday, June 27, at 10:31 a.m., Reider, a Vineland native, was traveling north on Delsea Drive when his vehicle left the roadway, firefighters said. Reiger was extricated from the vehicle and airlifted to Cooper Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries, firefighters said.
"His service and dedication will never be forgotten," the Malaga Fire Company said. "Year after year, Bobby had exemplary attendance at calls, drills, and meetings. His heart and passion for community service was one of a kind."
Born in Voorhees, Reider graduated from Delsea Regional High School in 2021, according to his obituary from the Barclay Funeral Home website. Reider grew up wanting to be a firefighter and joined the department at the age of 16. He later received a medal for gallantry and a medal for valor, his obituary reads.
He is survived by his parents, Lisa and Robert, his dog, Lucy, and numerous other family members and friends, according to his obituary.
"Bobby's time with us was far too short. He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten. His passing has left a huge hole in all of our hearts that will never be filled," his obituary reads.
A funeral will be held at noon on Friday, July 17 at Clayton Baptist Church and he will be interned at Sacred Heart Cemetery, according to his obituary.
