Loronda Murphy's Case Adjourned

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. - The former North Castle Republican Chair Loronda Murphy, who was indicted for mortgage fraud, was scheduled to appear in State Supreme Court in White Plains Tuesday but her case was adjourned until Feb. 17, according to Leslie McCoury, a clerk to Judge Richard Molea, who will hear the case.

Murphy, a North Castle realtor, was indicted in August on 19 counts of fraud. She is charged with targeting homeowners, stealing portions of their loan money and leaving their pre-existing mortgages unpaid.

Murphy faces a maximum of five to 25 years in state prison if convicted of the top count of her indictment.
