Logan Ecker Charged In Child Assault Case With Wire

A man is accused of striking a child with a wire and shoving a woman to the ground during a disturbance, police announced on Tuesday, Feb. 17.

Logan Thomas Ecker, 37, of Middletown, was arrested after officers responded to the 1900 block of Oberlin Road in Middletown on Sunday, Feb. 15, according to Lower Swatara Township Police.

Ecker was charged with Felony Endangering the Welfare of Children and Simple Assault, police said.

It is alleged that Ecker struck a child with a wire, causing “a large welt mark” on the child’s back, according to the release.

Police also allege he shoved an adult female’s head to the ground, resulting in blue and brown discoloration around her right eye socket.

The incident was classified as a disturbance, according to police.

Court docket information was not immediately available.
