HARRISON, N.Y. - Renowned writer and West Harrison resident Dave Donelson will lead a workshop Wednesday evening showing residents how to give an impressive job interview.
Donelson is author of the book "The Dynamic Manager Guides and Handbooks," a series of books, e-books, audio books, and online material based on interviews with small business owners and managers, and will share his experience with residents looking to find work in a rough economy. He will focus on short practice interviews, followed by critiques designed to strengthen presentation skills.
Parts of Donelson's lessons will include how to make a first impression, how to sell skills, and how to stand out from the competition.
The workshop will be heldWednesday, Sept. 21 at 6:30 p.m. at the Harrison Library and is open to the public. The library is located at 2 Bruce Ave.
Donelson has been a full-time freelance writer for over 10 years and has five published books. He also contributes regularly to national and regional publications, including Disney's FamilyFun, Family Business Magazine, Westchester Magazine, and Las Vegas Magazine, according to his website.
