Donald Nuckel, whose family owns more than 1,000 apartments in the borough, funded Focus on Families. The PAC attacked Mayor Mauro Raguseo by mailing fliers and making automated phone calls, Politico New Jersey reported.
Focus on Families was the subject of a Wall Street Journal article on how Super PACs were infiltrating small-town elections, Politico New Jersey said.
