Liam Stark, of Moriches, has been located unharmed, Suffolk County Police said in an update Wednesday, Oct. 22. No other details were given.

"I have my boy," Stark's mother Christy Lynn wrote on Facebook. "Thank you all for being my village."

Stark was reported missing on Friday, Oct. 17, after he left William Floyd High School around 7:10 a.m. and never returned home, according to Suffolk County Police.

He was last seen entering a Dunkin’ on Mastic Road in Mastic Beach. Relatives notified police of his disappearance that afternoon around 2:30 p.m.

In the days that followed, his mother, Christy Lynn, launched an all-out search, flooding social media with updates and organizing community efforts to find him. She asked residents and businesses to check security cameras, canvassed neighborhoods near Shirley, and distributed flyers at the LIDL shopping center at William Floyd Parkway and Montauk Highway.

At one point, Lynn noted that the Mastic train station was nearby, raising the possibility he could have boarded a train.

In emotional posts, Lynn described her son as being outside in the cold without a phone and only a few dollars in his pocket. “Please keep sending prayers and call 911 immediately if you even think you might have seen him,” she wrote.
