A Lexus SUV struck the front of Gold's Delicatessen on Post Road East in Westport Saturday afternoon, causing minor damage to the building. The driver was not injured.
Westport police and firefighters responded to the accident at about 12:51 p.m. The damage to the building was temporarily repaired to make it weather tight, and the building department was notified for follow-up, Assistant Fire Chief William Dingee reported.
The SUV, owned by Lexus of Westport, was on loan to the woman while her car was being serviced. It was deemed unsafe to drive and remained in the parking lot until the dealer could remove it.
