FAIRFIELD, Conn. The following letter to the editor was submitted by Southport resident Jody Eisemann.
I would like to express my support for Cristin McCarthy-Vahey, Democratic candidate for Fairfield selectman. I have known Cristin McCarthy-Vahey for over five years through my involvement with the Fairfield Democratic Town Committee. Cristin is one of the most dedicated and hard-working people I have ever known. Her contributions to Fairfield are many: her service on the RTM, League of Women Voters, numerous PTA and educational committees, and civic activities too numerous to mention.
What is most outstanding about Cristin, however, is her thoughtful, calm and intelligent approach to every situation. Cristin is the kind of leader who can work with all types of people. While she is firm in her principles and beliefs, she is open to all views and carefully considers all alternatives. Cristin is a natural leader who has respect on both sides of the aisle and who will work for all the citizens of Fairfield.
