Ceremonies begin at 11 a.m. sharp.
Boy Scout Troop 3082 and Girl Scout Troop 10587 will conduct a formal salute to service men and women.
Lieutenant Colonel Mark R. Baaden will address attendees. Baaden has supported the nation’s efforts on four major deployments – two Operation Iraqi Freedom tours; New Orleans, in support of Hurricane Katrina; and Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
His awards include four Bronze Star Medals, the Purple Heart Medal for wounds received in combat during Operation Iraqi Freedom, the Meritorious Service Medal, the Army Commendation Medal for Valor with five oak leaf clusters, the Joint Service Achievement Medal, three Army Achievement Medals, the Navy Achievement Medal, seven Army Reserve Achievement Medals, the State Department Meritorious Honor Award, the Iraq Service Medal, the Afghanistan Service Medal, the Global War on Terror Service Medal, the Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal, the Humanitarian Service Medal, and the NATO non-article 5 Campaign Medal.
Additionally, he has earned the Basic Airborne Badge, the Air Assault Badge, the German Armed Forces Badge for Military Proficiency in Gold, the Combat Infantryman Badge, and the Combat Action Badge.
