The chaos started with a crash in Manassas and spiraled when one driver allegedly pulled a gun, later showing up at a hospital with a self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to the Prince William County Police Department.

Manassas resident Kyle Tor Croskey is facing a host of charges after a violent hit-and-run crash in which he allegedly pulled a gun that discharged while he was fleeing, striking him in the process.

Shortly after 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 28, officers were called to the 7500 block of Gales Court in Manassas to investigate a reported crash.

Investigators say that Croskey was involved, and he brandished a gun before leaving the scene. Shortly after the crash, he arrived at an area hospital with a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the lower body from "an apparent accidental discharge."

Croskey was treated for non-life-threatening injuries and taken into custody. A gun was also recovered from his vehicle. The other driver was uninjured.

While in custody, it is alleged that Croskey shot himself in the foot again by making threatening statements toward officers.

The 30-year-old was arrested and charged with:

  • Reckless handling of a firearm;
  • Brandishing a firearm;
  • Hit-and-run;
  • Two counts of threats to law enforcement.

His court date is pending, and he is being held without bond.
