NEW CANAAN, Conn. Want to tell Santa Claus what you want for Christmas over the most important meal of the day? New Canaan kids will get that chance.
Santa will visit with children Saturday, Dec. 10, at Waveny House at the Breakfast With Santa. The New Canaan Recreation Department and the Young Womens League of New Canaan host the event.
Breakfast with Santa is open to New Canaan kids 10 years old and younger, accompanied by a parent. Each child will have the chance to take a picture with Santa and receive a goodie bag. Apple juice and doughnuts will be served to kids, with free coffee and tea offered to parents. Separate group seating will be available at 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. Space is limited to 60 children per seating. Only preregistered children will be admitted.
Admission to the event is $10, but the fee will be waived in exchange for the donation of an unwrapped toy for Toys for Tots, which will distribute toys to needy children in lower Fairfield County. Reservations are available by calling 203-594-3600 or by visiting the New Canaan Recreation Department through Dec. 8.
The event is also sponsored by the Bank of New Canaan, and Karl Chevrolet/Hummer, the New Canaan Toy Store and Toddler Time Nursery School.
