Talk about taking truth in advertising to a whole other level. Kia of Belgium, in an effort to prove there were no catches in its warranty, put its own CEO on the hot seat. Benoit Morrene got strapped to a polygraph test and was asked a barrage of questions about the specifics on the company's seven-year, non-transferrable warranty (in Belgium). How did he do?
He passed with flying colors. But that didn't quash the skeptics, so Kia decided to repeat the session via a live webcast, which showed real-time results of the polygraph.
Would your CEO submit to a polygraph test? Would you even ask her? Let me know.
