Kenneth G. Chin, of Ridgefield Park, was arrested on Monday, April 13, after being identified as the suspect in the March 16 shooting at a home on Broadway, Hackensack Police Detective Capt. Darrin DeWitt said.

At approximately 7:50 that evening, Chin entered the driveway of the home and fired a round of 9mm ammunition through an apartment window. No one was struck, DeWitt said. Investigators later identified Chin as the suspect, and he was taken into custody in Jersey City while detectives executed a search warrant at his home.

During the search, detectives seized a Keltec Sub2000 semi-automatic carbine, a Sig Sauer P365 9mm pistol, and approximately 200 rounds of ammunition, according to authorities.

Chin was charged with multiple offenses, including possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, certain persons not to have weapons, unlawful possession of a weapon, criminal mischief, and hindering apprehension, police said.

He was processed and remanded to the Bergen County Jail pending a court appearance in Hackensack, according to DeWitt.
