Felder was born May 4, 1926, in Hyannis, Cape Cod, Mass. She spent most of her life in Darien. She received her registered nursing degree from The Backus Hospital School of Nursing in 1946. After receiving her nursing degree, she worked as head operating room surgical nurse at Backus Hospital in Norwich.
Felder is survived by her sisters, Lois Efinchuk of Mystic and Carolyn Schuman of Kissimmee, Fla.; children, Edward A. Felder Jr. (Constance D.), Charles T. Felder, Susann M. Dempsey (Thomas); and six grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Dr. Edward A. Felder.
