BREWSTER, N.Y. – Joseph (Giuseppe) Sciortino, of Brewster, died Friday, May 6 at Hope Hospice in Cape Coral, Fla. He was 78.
He was born Oct. 27, 1937, in Sicily to Antonio and Giuseppa Sciortino.
He was the owner and operator of Sciortino’s Restaurant in Brewster.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Sciortino; four children, Susan O’Keefe and her husband, David, of Salem, Joseph Sciortino and his wife, Shannon, of Danbury, Conn., Joanna Giordano and her husband, Joseph, of Granger, Ind. and Anthony Sciortino and his fiancé, Maureen Sheridan, of Valley Cottage; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, June 27 at St. Lawrence O’Toole Church, 31 Prospect St., Brewster.
