John J. Tidbit Vitti died on Tuesday at Stamford Hospital. He was born on Oct.17, 1947, in Stamford.
Vitti worked for the City of Stamford as a carpenter in the Facilities Management Department for 12 years. He was also a retired member and former president of Charter Oak MC and a member of the Stamford Knights of Columbus Council.
He is survived by his mother, Florence; a sister, Jo Ann, and her husband, Steve Raggi; a daughter, Mary Ann, and her husband, Tony Cornelio; two nephews, a niece and two grandchildren. Vitti also leaves behind his girlfriend of three years, Deborah Nielsen.
The family will receive friends and relatives on Thursday, June 9, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Bosak Funeral Home. A Mass will be celebrated Friday, June 10, at 11 a.m. at St. Marys Church, 566 Elm St., Stamford. Interment will be private.
