John Pulk, 33, of Maine, turned himself in following the investigation, according to the police.

Pulk is charged with sexual abuse of children, unlawful contact with a minor, and related offenses, Lower Southampton Township Police said.

Investigators determined Pulk allegedly posed as a 16-year-old boy on social media before contacting a juvenile female from Bucks County, authorities detailed. He is accused of soliciting explicit images from the girl, later admitting he was an adult, and continuing the behavior, according to police.

Authorities also say Pulk sent explicit images of himself to the juvenile during the exchange.

His preliminary arraignment was held before District Judge Falcone, who set bail at $750,000, resulting in Pulk being held at Bucks County Prison, police said.

The investigation was led by Lower Southampton Township Detective Joseph Zaffino, with assistance from the Maine State Police Major Crimes Unit and Bucks County Detectives.

The case remains under investigation.
