STAMFORD, Conn. John DellaCorte, a former resident of Stamford, died July 4 at Norwalk Hospital. He was 91.
He was born July 20, 1920, in Stamford to Gaetano and Anne Ditore DellaCorte. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. DellaCorte worked as a maintenance engineer for Metro North Railroad for 25 years. He most recently was a resident of Norwalk.
DellaCorte is survived by two sisters, Theresa Riccardi and Grace Palermo, both of Stamford; a niece, Beverly DellaCorte, of Cos Cob; and several other nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Maria DellaCorte; and a brother, Matthew DellaCorte.
Funeral services will be private. Bosak Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
