FAIRFIELD, Conn. – John A. Boroczky, of Fairfield, husband of Kathy Nealis Boroczsky, died Sunday, March 13. He was 72.
Born in Bridgeport, he was a lifelong Fairfield resident. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He worked as a carpenter for the H.S. Norell Builders Co. for nearly 45 years until his retirement.
He was an avid reader, enjoyed building intricate Lego structures and caring for his garden and was a longtime N.Y. Mets and Giants fan.
In addition to Kathy, his wife of 43 years, he is survived by his son, Scott Boroczky; his daughter, Tracy McAdam and her husband, Andrew, all of Fairfield; his granddaughter, Genevieve McAdam; a sister, Anita Kett of Ohio; a nephew, Mark Flyte; several cousins; and his canine friend, Shelby.
He was predeceased by his sister, Carol Kycia; and brother, Thomas Boroczsky.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 9 to 11 a.m. in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Road, Fairfield Center. Services will follow at 11 a.m. in the funeral home, with the Rev. Mark Horton officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Grove Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
