Patience and kindness were words commonly used for Stamford resident Jerry Cacace, who died at Stamford Hospital Sept. 12 at age 84. A Mass was said for him Thursday.
Cacace was a gentle man who owned Eastern Auto Driving School and used his gift of patience to teach others how to drive. He later worked for the Connecticut Department of Motor Vehicles, where he served as a motor vehicle inspector for 25 years. He also taught people with physical disabilities how to drive during this time.
Cacace was born March 29, 1926, in Mount Vernon, N.Y. He leaves behind a daughter, Anne Marie Cacace of Stamford; a son, Michael J. Cacace of Stamford; and two grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Margaret F. Pesditsch Cacace, and his son Ronald Cacace.
