James Lenehan, 70, Poughkeepsie Resident

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. – James Lenehan, of Poughkeepsie, died Monday, Jan. 18 in Staatsburg, N.Y. He was 70.

He was born Sept. 30, 1945, in Poughkeepsie, to the late Irene Rossi and William Lenehan. He received a bachelor’s degree in liberal arts and was self-employed with Avon for eight years. On Sept. 5, 1986, he married Marlene Kriegsman in Wappingers Falls. They were married for 29 years.

He is survived by his wife, Marlene; son, Joseph Lenehan; siblings William Lenehan and Kathleen Lenehan Smith; nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, cousins and “Smitty” and “Piper.”

He was predeceased by his parents, grandparents, in-laws and a brother, Joseph.

Family and friends are invited to a memorial Mass at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Holy Trinity Church, 775 Main St., Poughkeepsie. Arrangements are entrusted to the Joseph J. Darrow Sr. Funeral Home Inc., 39 S. Hamilton St., Poughkeepsie.
