The Metropolitan Police Department is asking for the public’s help to locate Jacori Raj Toliver, who was last seen on Sunday, Jan. 25, in the 5000 block of Call Place SE, as snow and dangerous conditions swept across the East Coast, officials said.
Police said Jacori is described as a Black boy, standing 5-foot-6 and weighing 150 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.
He was last seen wearing a black hooded coat, black hat and gloves, a blue scarf, a blue and gray sweater with “LM” in gold, green jogger sweatpants, and brown boots with dark-colored toes, according to MPD.
As authorities searched, Jacori’s mother took to social media with a desperate plea.
“My Big Boy is MISSING! His name is Jacori Raj Toliver,” his mother, Martina Toliver, wrote. “I last saw him when I told him he could go out front and play yesterday afternoon.”
She said he was wearing the same outfit described by police and urged anyone with information to come forward.
The disappearance unfolded as a massive snowstorm hit the region on Sunday, creating treacherous conditions and raising concerns about Jacori’s safety as temperatures dropped and snow continued to fall.
Police have not released additional details about the circumstances of his disappearance, but said the investigation remains active.
Anyone who has seen Toliver or has information about his whereabouts is urged to contact the Metropolitan Police Department immediately.
