According to the borough's official event flyer, Hallowscream features spooky trails, costumes, treats, and activities for children and families. It is hosted by Tenafly Recreation and takes place Friday, Oct. 23, at Roosevelt Commons near the tennis courts.

The event offers two haunted walking experiences designed for different age groups.

The Haunted Day Woods runs from 4:30 to 5:45 p.m. and is recommended for children ages 3 to 8. Younger visitors can explore a haunted pathway where costumed characters will appear along the route.

For those looking for a bigger scare, the Haunted Night Woods takes place from 6 to 7 p.m. Recommended for ages 8 and older, the nighttime experience gives visitors a darker, more frightening version of the haunted trail.

Beyond the haunted woods, attendees can collect Halloween treats, including candy, cookies, and goodie bags.

Additional attractions include a Halloween-themed inflatable obstacle course, a pumpkin patch, an ice cream truck, and a haunted photo station.

Hallowscream also features music, prizes, and giveaways, and attendees are encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes.

Advance registration is required for all attendees, including both children and parents. The event is open exclusively to Tenafly and Alpine residents.

Families interested in attending can register through Community Pass.
