As one mother recently said of the playground equipment at Primrose, Its being held together by duct tape. A new playground will cost about $90,000. The school budget cannot stretch to pay for the project, so a group of parents and teachers have joined together in their own fundraising effort.
Several local businesses have already pitched in to aid the fund. Once Upon a Child, which sells new and gently used childrens items, donated a percentage of its sales in July and King Kone held a fundraiser in September. A concert, featuring a pro bono performance by Andrea and the Armenian Rugriders, also raised money.
