In 2012, with the help of 2,450 volunteers, Save the Sound Coastal Cleanup Program removed 16,310 pounds of trash from 57 miles of beaches and riverfronts across the state.
Garbage bags and materials will be provided.
"Please tell all your friends and family as we would like to collect as much garbage as possible," the town said in a Facebook post. "We hope to see you all there."
The entrance to the Hommocks Conservation Area is on Hommocks Road.
