DARIEN, Conn. It is estimated that 18,000 children die of starvation each day around the world, but Darien is doing its part to help make a difference. On Oct. 1 and 2, Darien residents will take part in the third annual Darien Feed My Starving Children MobilePack event.
In two-hour shifts, volunteers at Middlesex Middle School will help package 300,000 meals for starving children around the world. This event is sponsored by the local churches of Darien and co-sponsored by the Council of Darien School Parents.
