HARRISON, N.Y. - Leaving school shopping for the last minute can create a hectic final weekend of summer for parents in Harrison. Local schools have listed required supplies to make shopping a bit easier.

Here are the supplies lists from Harrison Avenue:
Kindergarten: 1 two-pocket folder of student's choice (pockets at bottom please), 1 box of tissues
First grade: Home/School folder (any design or color), 1 box of wipes, 1 box of tissues, 5 glue sticks, 2 boxes of #2 pencils, 1 box of gallon size Ziploc bags. All supplies will be shared with entire class, so do not put your childs name on the supplies.
Second grade: 3 marble composition notebooks, 3 plastic two-pocket folders, 1 box of 24 count crayons, 2 glue sticks, 1 box of tissues, pencils, 1 box of gallon or quart sized Ziploc bags, Unscented Wipes, 1 Pencil Box (for pencils, crayons, glue, etc.)
Third grade: 4 composition black and white notebooks, 9 vinyl or plastic folders (variety of colors), 2 dozen #2 pencils, 1 12-pack colored pencils (no crayons or markers), 2 glue sticks, 1 pair of scissors, 1 box of Ziploc bags (quart or gallon size), 1 large box of tissues. PTA will provide a HW agenda. Due to very limited space, please provide only the supplies on this list.
Fourth grade: 7 marble notebooks, 2 boxes of Ticonderoga pencils, 2 extra fine point black Sharpie markers, 1 highlighter, 2 blue/black pens, 2 red pens, 2 large boxes of tissues, 1 package of lined white 3 x 5 index cards, 1 package of Post-It notes: 3 x 3, 1 box of wipes, 1 small box of crayons (box of 8), 1 small box of markers (box of 8), 2 glue sticks, 1 box of Ziploc bags (quart or gallon size), PTA will provide an agenda
Fifth grade: 6 black and white marble composition notebooks, 5 solid color durable plastic/vinyl two-pocket folders (please no designs), 1 one inch binder (any color), 1 soft pencil case holder, 1 highlighter (any color is fine), 2 packages of lined white 3 x 5 index cards, 2 blue or black pens, 2 red pens, supply of #2 pencils (no mechanical pencils), PTA will provide an agenda, Post-It notes: 3 x 3 and 1 ½ x 2 (1 package each), 1 box of tissues, 1 box of Ziploc bags (quart or gallon size). No need to bring crayons, markers, glue or rulers. We have a generous supply and will share when needed.
