HARRISON, N.Y. The Harrison Players are once again giving the microphone to local residents later this month when they host a community open mic event downtown.
The event is scheduled for Feb. 25 from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Veteran's Memorial Building at 210 Halstead Ave. Anyone is invited to participate.
Acts could include but are not limited to singing, dancing, poetry reading or musical instruments.
Admission is $5 and performers should arrive at 6:30 p.m. to sign up. Performers are limited to six-minute slots at most.

The Harrison Players are a community theater group established in 1963 by town residents. The group has provided musicals, fundraisers and community events for Harrison for more than 40 years.
