HARRISON, N.Y. A Harrison man was arrested Saturday, March 17, at 4:30 a.m. and charged with driving while intoxicated and unlawful possession of marijuana.
Darren Buer, 38, was pulled over by a Harrison police officer at Harrison Avenue and Orchard Street. Police said the officer smelled a strong odor of alcohol on his breath, and Buer failed a sobriety test.
The police report said Buer then admitted to having marijuana on him, and the officer found two sandwich-size bags inside a black pouch in Buers left front jacket. Buer is due April 3 in Town Court.
The following items were also reported by Harrison police:
Suspended License: A 37-year-old man from White Plains was issued a summons at 11:07 a.m. Friday, March 16, at White Plains and Westchester avenues. The man was charged with driving with a suspended license.
Suspended License: A 63-year-old Harrison man was issued a summons at 2:44 p.m. Friday, March 16, at the same location. Police said he also was driving with a suspended license.
Warrant Arrest: A Bronx man was arrested at the same location at 11:59 p.m. Friday, March 16. According to the police report, the 51-year-old man had an active warrant out of New York City. Harrison police called the New York police, who told them they could not pick him up until March 19. Harrison police let the man go on his own recognizance and instructed him to turn himself over to the New York police.
