Glen Rock's 'Bravest Squirrel' May Be A Bit Nuts

GLEN ROCK, N.J. – You'd have to be nuts to get this close to a hawk this size – or possibly just looking for nuts.

Len Greer snapped this photo of a squirrel getting dangerously close to a red tailed hawk.

"Meet the bravest squirrel in Glen Rock," Len Greer, who took the photo, wrote on Facebook.

Greer took the photo of the squirrel getting dangerously close to the predatory bird at Thielke Arboretum in Glen Rock.

According to Greer, this squirrel got away unharmed. But that may only be because this red tailed hawk had devoured a squirrel minutes before.
