Members of the Department of Public Works have been busy picking up leaves – something that was appreciated by residents.
"Thank you DPW, great job picking up leaves," Patricia Zengel wrote on Facebook.
Pickup cycles through Glen Rock's eight voting districts, but the schedule can change frequently depending on the size of leaf piles. Sometimes crews can get through one or more districts per day, and other times it may take longer, officials said.
Glen Rock officials are also reminding residents that leaves and biodegradable bags are the only things that should be placed at the curb for pickup. Other items, such as pumpkins, grass, branches and especially plastic bags may damage pickup equipment.
Leaves and bags should be at least 10 feet from storm drains. For more details, visit Glen Rock's website.
