Darien High thumped Danbury 11-1 behind the power of clean-up hitter Sam Gillespie, who belted two 3-run home runs in the first two innings. On the mound, Darien's junior pitcher Dillon Duncan was dominant, fanning 12 while allowing only four hits and one run.
Senior short stop Dan Pidgeon and second baseman Tommy Farren collected three hits each.
The Blue Wave is now 7-10 on the season in FCIAC play.
