FAIRFIELD, Conn. Say hello to Gerry, a 2- to 3-year-old kitten. Gerry, the latest edition of Wednesdays Pet, is just one of the many pets awaiting adoption at the Fairfield Animal Shelter.
Former Selectman Sherri Steeneck started Wednesdays Pet last year to draw attention to the many dogs and cats waiting adoption at the Fairfield Animal Shelter. Every animal featured as Wednesdays Pet has been adopted, but there are many waiting for homes, especially cats.
If youre interested in taking Gerry home, you can visit him at the Fairfield Animal Shelter, 211 One Rod Highway, or call 203-254-4857. Pets that are already spayed or neutered cost $5 to adopt. Those who are not yet fixed cost $50 but come with a voucher for the procedure.
